The Office of Economic Development of the state capital Düsseldorf is therefore offering an English-language business startup seminar aimed specifically at foreign entrepreneurs and business owners.

Our event offers an ideal forum to discuss the many questions and challenges that foreign entrepreneurs face on their way to a successful business.

After a short introduction and presentation of the Düsseldorf startup ecosystem and all relevant networks for startups and foreign entrepreneurs, we will focus on the following core topics:

• Legal aspects such as right of residence, employment permit, EU market, Schengen Agreement and forms of company
• Fiscal aspects and the different types of taxes and social security

With about 550 startups, Düsseldorf has a very lively and fast-growing startup scene and offers ideal conditions for building and scaling new businesses. The Startup Unit of the City of Düsseldorf is the central contact point and guide for the startup community. It offers a comprehensive overview of the startup ecosystem and support services in Düsseldorf with event information, the Startup Journey and the Scaleup Journey.
