Startup Madlibs: Perfect Your One Sentence Pitch
They say if you can’t describe your business in one sentence, you don’t understand it well enough. But how do you get to the heart of what you do?
As a startup founder, you’ll be presenting your business over and over again to potential customers, partners, team members, investors and other interested parties. To get the attention of your audience at such moments, you need to be able to outline your idea quickly and succinctly. The Founder Institute recommends using a simple one-sentence pitch format. And that’s exactly the sentence we want to work on with you in this one-hour workshop.
You’ll learn how to define your offer without using superlatives, how to articulate the challenges you want to solve, how to determine your target audience, and finally, how to determine what your „secret ingredient“ is, the thing that makes your business special.
The Founder Institute is the world’s largest pre-seed startup accelerator with offices in over 200 cities. Since 2009, we’ve helped over 4,500 entrepreneurs to build their businesses. Our workshop will be conducted by Eva Dimitrova, Mathias Härchen and Manuel Born, the leaders of the Founder Institute’s Cologne chapter, and is suitable for both first-time founders and experienced founders who want to further improve their pitches.
